You Are a Summer Person |

The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed.
1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you really love (and strikethrough the ones you hate!).
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them.
NO LJ cut because books are awesome!

a police helicopter circlin right over our house...almost takin the chimney off...not exagerating...i was tryin to ignore it for half an hour n just turned my tv volume up...
then my brother knocked on the door, he'd only been down here not 15 minutes before it started, interrupting my DVD viewing...saying he'd come across loads of cops, cop cars, unmarked cop cars, and plain clothed cops everywhere....so..
me and my mum decided to go 'for a walk', i went out first, whilst she went to get changed, told her to catch me up and id just got to the top of our block (which is 6 houses length from ours to the top) and i saw a cop car coming towards me in the side street...didn think anything about it, as they slowed down to let another car through, til they pulled up at the side of me and asked 'you havent seen someone, wearing navy and a baseball cap, have you?' and i just said something to the effect of 'ive only just left the
house sorry'..
THEN mum appeared...as the helicopter was bogging off
and we then found my brother...who incidently was wearing navy lol so we knew why the helicopter seemed to lower down and eye him up hah
anywho on the way back home, in the same side street an unmarked cop car went past with two cops in it with the whole bullet proof vest garb on...gabbing on the radio..
fun.
Still not found out what it was about yet...

well nothing interesting to report...
my life consists of = going to bed around 3/4am, lying in til around 1pm, getting up, eating, watch tv, go to work, want to kill Derek (or at least pour bleach in his eyes), come home, eat some more, play on here, watch tv of some kind, then go to bed around 3/4am, lying in til around 1pm, getting up....see where im going with this? lol
and its gonna be pretty much the same for the next four weeks straight, oh what joy what bliss...don't you just love finishing work at 9pm? lol but at least its a little better than the last full evening job i had...(hours were 4pm till 11pm, now THEY sucked major corporate balls lol - especially on a friday, cos id then have to be up in time for the 8am-3pm shift on the satuday. Now that was ridiculous.)
Have you ever felt terminally bored? i mean, have plenty of different things you could be doing, but still felt like you had nothing to do, or nowhere to go?? Thats what im like at the minute...i mean i could be on here doing something, like playin on Tomb Raider or the like, i could play on my DS, PS2 or my Wii, could watch one of my 400+ dvds, read one of my many books, watch a variety of tv shows (some prerecorded), listenin to lots of music, finish at least one of the two cross-stitches ive started, go for a walk/run/bike, go out for a drink... and on the list goes...
and what do i unconsciously choose to do? sit around feeling bored...arent i a charm? heh ah whelk. That's life...you dunno what you wanna do until you cant do it...
*wiggles toes*
Anyway, me out of the way, how is everyone? What's goin on out there in LJ world?

Hmmmm
i just had a few phone calls with my boss....
I'm staying at the job ive got till the end of this month...then im leaving..
to start another job at the place i did a couple of covers for when i first started last year...and i hated the place...:O hmmmm
thing is im only doin 2 nights a week, for the same hours im doin now, now heres the problem:
im gettin paid for 8 hours a week at the minute, for 4 nights..meanin im spose do 2 hours a night, i do about 40min a night...and still get paid for the full 2 hours...
at the new place, i'm gettin paid slightly more per hour, still only 8 hours a week..but i have to work the full 4 hours a night....and then i'm going to have a month of coverin for someone at 5 nights a week...(4 hours a time) and i wont be working alone...i like working alone, i dont have to worry about anyone else...
and ive also agreed to be the cover person (cos apparently everyone's got holidays comin up and they were gonna get someone else in specifically for that reason, but seeing as im losing my job at MHL thanks to the crappy housin market not payin enough they cant afford me lol) so....
but seeing as i need the money, i couldnt say no, but im still a bit....bleugh...i dunno if i wanna do all that...the whole point in leavin my last job at Number 15 was to get out of the cleaning racket, but alas im stuck in it for now.....
if im still doin it this time next year....someone please shoot me! ta.
